John Kearon

Completely agree with the power of social networks over traditional panels but instinctively feel the current FaceBook solution isn't it.

Paying by the question and answer for tick box quant questions of a non-representative audience just feels the wrong model.

With any new medium, new techniques are needed to maximise it's utility and social networks are no different.

For me, the most interesting approach lies in applying the wisdom of crowds technique to enable the social network to be accurate and remove the need for quota's, screening and finding representative samples.
