Jaroslave, this is great encouragement before tomorrow's meeting with some "quantitative pepople"! I intend to teach them poetry. Wish me luck.

Tomasi: good luck!

"Insight, new ideas and innovations are delivered through divergence: through interdisciplinary approaches that illuminate a variety of possibilities and solutions" - Jaroslav, you brought my faith back :)

What is the origin of divergence? - Darwin :) "The Origin of Species" - and the power of divergence is even stronger than the power of evolution. Species didn't converge with anything, it diverged... the cat is now the tiger, the lion, the leopard etc... and same happens to brands... (and categories they stand for).

PS: Check out Al Ries's great lecrture on divergence :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1kTj1vx0ts

Hi Maciek, I have seen the lecture, thanks! What is interesting there is that we, people, naturally expect and wait for the next big thing, silver bullet, one answer to all problems...but as, Al Ries says, that type of convergence seldom happens in high tech and in life...
